Henry recalls walking the streets and sidewalks of Georgetown

In the late 1970s and 1980s, parts of Northwest DC became the heart of a homegrown punk and hardcore scene. This community transformed local businesses and sidewalks into spaces for creative exchange, spreading a “Do-It-Yourself” (DIY) spirit across neighborhoods. Despite decades of neighborhood change, internationally acclaimed punk rocker Henry Rollins recalls a familiarity with these paths.
